5 - Rules and Regulations:
1 \ Biennial: This Biennial combines of invited participating photographers (type A) and free participating photographers (type B).
Type A: the invited participating photographers should be recommended by photographic organizations or curators (30 works, the resume and other related information about the photographer should be send as digital file). After agreement of the Academic Committee of Biennial Organizing Committee, the formal invitation will be issued.
Type B: free participating photographers (type B) are free to register their participation. They need to choose 10-15 representative and characteristic works, no limitations on the themes, contents and styles of the participating works, but the works should be creative. All works should be in the forms of digital files(JPEG, 400dpi, no less than 8 million pixels). Title of the works, name of the author, nationality, address, postcode, telephone, email and other relative information should be made clear in the entry form.
2 \ The University Students: International Students Photography Exhibition combines of free participating students(type A) and Collection participation(type B).
Type A: submit through internet(10th, May-10th, July), Results of Preliminary Judgment (10th, July), Accepted works(10-20th,July), Final Judgement(25-30th, July). Landing on the official website of Biennial(www.ea360.com), uploading the works through “Biennial”--- “Primaries District”, see the details from the rules of participating Biennial in the website. After the preliminary judgement, the authors of the accepted works should submit their original photos in a CD to the organizing Committee of Biennial as soon as possible to let the jury make final judgement. The jury includes many famous photographers from inside and outside of our country. The principles of the judgement are: fair, impartial, and encouragingcreativity.
Type B: collection participation: the students’ works can be collected together by their tutors or department’s directors to attend the exhibition. And the entry form should be completed and the title of the university, grade, name of the tutor address and email should be made clear.
3 \ No entry fee for all the entered works and all the copies of the works mailed to the exhibition will not be returned. While the greatest care will be taken of all entries, the organizer cannot accept any liability for loss or damage.

2 \ All accepted works will be compiled in the Chinese-English catalogue for “2008 Jinan Contemporary International Photography Biennial”. And all the winners will receive one catalogue.
3 \ For accepted and awarded works, the hosts have the non-commercial rights of use, such as exhibition, education, catalogue, or newspapers, magazines and publicizing materials etc, and will not pay extra fees to the authors or owners. The author will be responsible for all legal responsibilities such as the rights of reputation, portrait and copy etc. related to the works.
7 - World Photographers Focusing on Qilu International Photography Week Competition
During Biennial, the organizers will arrange photographers to take view wandering in Jinan---the Spring City, Tengzhou ---the birthplace of Mo-tse, Qufu---the birthplace of Confucius, to take photos, hold exhibitions and award.

From now on, photographers from all over the world will meet at the cradle of Mo-tse Pinhole Imaging during Qilu International Photograph week in the golden month, reviewing the history of 2000 years, to find out the arcanums of photography through the cave convex mirror of Mo-tse, and feel the wisdom of Mo-tse from the theory of pinhole imaging.
