The Photography Department of Nanjing University of the Arts was founded in 2000 and is one of the first colleges in China to introduce digital technology into undergraduate teaching. For many years since the establishment of the department, we have focused on cultivating talents in the business application field. Since 2015, we have carried out curriculum reforms and increased the proportion of new media art and art photography courses to strengthen students’ ability and literacy in artistic creation and cross-media thinking. In terms of professional curriculum, it includes basic technology courses, digital technology courses, short video courses, commercial photography courses, art photography courses, art theory and criticism courses, and artist workshops as supplementary teaching.
