上海工程技术大学艺术设计学院摄影系，前身为1986年建立的“广告与影像技术系”，本科于2002年开始招生，每年招收50人。

摄影系在遵循发展“应用型特色大学”的办学理念，结合本地区经济发展战略与行业发展现状及人才需求为目标，培养应用实践能力与理论体系具备的从事图片摄影、影视摄影、摄影艺术创作、摄影教育与研究等相关工作者。同时，坚持自身国际化特色发展，长期与日本九州产业大学保持国际合作与交流，开展，加强学生国际化视野与思维的培养。

学生就业方向有：新闻媒体、企事业单位宣传部门、、影视传媒企业、音像出版企业、摄影厂商企业、广告公司、图片制作公司、以及开设个人摄影工作室等。
