《身份》
中国社会的经济飞速发展,为城市和乡村带来了巨大的变化……我拍《身份》,试图用环境人物肖像来解读发生在中国大地上40年的变革。在《身份》的拍摄中,我努力寻找不同身份的人物群像,致力于解读它们的深层意义。《身份》表现了因社会分工及职业化所导致的个体人物身份的丧失,以及众多个体在已经符号化了的无意识状态。《身份》也许表达了人们对自己在社会中的身份有一种围城式的情结。人物身份的临时性和不确定性构成了人物身份及其所处场景的不协调性和荒谬性。首先,人在社会中角色的定位必然要遵循各种相应的社会规则,然而人们内心深处摆脱束缚、追求自由的冲动又不断地在打破和超越这些枷锁--人们向往自由、努力争取更大的伸展空间。另一方面,人又心甘情愿地制定和服从于这些社会秩序和规则。这种限制和冲破限制的感觉是矛盾的,恰恰是人类能够不断向前发展的动力。《身份》试图直接或间接地揭示了这种矛盾,使得这组图片呈现出一种调侃而荒诞的审美意味。在多年的拍摄中,我所寻找的理想拍摄对象,应该既符合他们自己社会身份的形象,又能展示我眼中他们应有的精神状态。我在拍摄中对人物形象、人物身份、场景及道具的选择,乃至被拍摄对象的肢体语言和神态等都进行了安排。在拍摄《身份》时,我努力强调镜头的存在感和我的控制力,有力地去表述我的态度。这组照片虽然是摆拍样式的环境人物摄影,但它延续了我一贯的纪实风格,所有被拍摄者并非是扮演这些角色的演员。《身份》虽不是最为直接和客观的纪实摄影,但它注入这个时代的特征,应该成为这个时代的独特见证。
《Identity》
The rapid economic development in China has brought great changes to the cities and villages I shot identity, trying to use environmental portraits to interpret the changes that have taken place in China for 40 years. In the shooting of identity, I try to find different identities of the characters and try to interpret their deep meaning. As a result, the identity of the characters in the novel has been lost. "Identity" may express that people have a besieged complex about their identity in society. The temporality and uncertainty of character identity constitute the incongruity and absurdity of character identity and its scene. First of all, people's role in the society must follow various social rules. However, people's inner impulse to get rid of the shackles and pursue freedom isconstantly breaking and transcending these shackles - people yearn for freedom and strive for greater space for expansion. On the other hand, people are willing to make and obey these social orders and rules. This kind of restriction and the feeling of breaking through the limitation are contradictory, but they are also the driving force for human beings to develop continuously. Identity tries to reveal this contradiction directly or indirectly, which makes this group of pictures present a kind of ridicule and absurd aesthetic meaning. In many years of shooting, I am looking for the ideal shooting object, should not only conform to their own social identity image, but also show their mental state in my eyes. During the shooting, I arranged the character image, character identity, scene and props, as well as the body language and manner of the subject. In the shooting of identity, I tried to emphasize the presence of the camera and my control, and effectively expressed my attitude. Although this set of photos is a set up style of environmental character photography, but it continues my consistent documentary style, all the photographed are not actors who play these roles. Although identity is not the most direct and objective documentary photography, it infuses the characteristics of this era and should be a unique witness of this era.
